Michelle Nelson graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2007 and lives in Sunset Hill with her 3 cats, 2 doodles and a husband. When not painting under the brand Quirky Sketchy Watercolors, she spends her time as a product manager for Expedia Group.

“I’ve been painting every day during the pandemic. Having the outlet to process everything that’s been happening has been really helpful.” With subjects featuring bird queens, covid and flowers from her Ballard garden, Michelle’s art has been described as vibrant, fun and kind of quirky.
