the Afianes family are stewards of the rare local grape varietals, Begleri and Fokiano. All the wines are made in the traditional ways from grapes picked in the fields located on the mountains of the island of Ikaria. This magical island in Greece is home to this amazing family who has rediscovered the wine-making methods of antiquity and loving put them back into practice creating incredible wines that are truly emissaries of this magical place.

With a very small production and having been recently featured in Secrets of the Blue Zone, these wines are hard to find and an opportunity to taste them should not be missed!! Tasting is $20 - refunded with purchase of an Afianes bottle.
